Robert E. Brown, D.C.

Dr. Brown received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1999 from Sherman College of Chiropractic. His undergraduate work was done at Appalachian State University.

During his first 2 years in practice, he worked with Neurologist, Pedro Steven Buarque de Macedo, MD.  During that time he learned to help severe trauma patients recover from their injuries as well as help top athletes and average everyday people live better lives through Chiropractic care.
Dr. Brown keeps up to date on any advances in healthcare through many continuing educational classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced chiropractic care.

“My goal is to help as many people as I can live more fulfilling lives and help prevent the need for medication and surgery. I do not sugar coat, I am honest, straight, and to the point. If I think I can help you, I will tell you exactly what it will take.”

Dr. Brown and his wife, Edie, have two children and one grandson.

Lindsey Rushmore

Lindsey Rushmore, DOM, LAc, Dipl. OM, CECP

Lindsey Rushmore, DOM, LAc, Dipl. OM, CECP, is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine (New Mexico), Licensed Acupuncturist (Virginia), and Diplomat of Oriental Medicine (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine). She is also a certified Emotion Code™ practitioner.

Her specialties include pain management, wellness, emotional health, and facial rejuvenation. She is passionate about both physical and emotional wellbeing, and believes the most effective treatment addresses both.

Lindsey graduated from Southwest Acupuncture College in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and also completed post-graduate rotations at a teaching hospital in Harbin, China. Prior to her acupuncture career, Lindsey was a health care industry and travel business journalist. She holds a BA in English-Professional Writing & Rhetoric, from Elon University. In her spare time, she enjoys ballet, ballroom dancing, and outdoor adventures.

Dominique Whitted, C.M.T.

Dominique has been a member of the Ariya team since 2016. She has always had a passion for helping people and massage therapy has been a perfect fit. She earned her Associate’s Degree of Applied Science from Medical Careers Institute in 2006 and her technique interests vary from Neuromuscular therapy to Craniosacral and Reiki. She has plans to do continuing education courses for  pregnancy massage and infant/pediatric massage. Having a daughter has peaked this interest even more. She is married to her high school sweetheart & enjoys reading, spending time with family, traveling and going to church.

Laura Poole, C.A.

Laura has been with the Ariya team since 2010. She grew up in New Jersey but was raised in Argentina the first five years of her life.

Laura was first introduced to Chiropractic care about 18 years ago. She was suffering from severe asthma and was dependent upon several medications to assist in her breathing. She began Chiropractic care and began to see results fairly quickly. Within a short amount of time, she was no longer dependent upon any medication and was much healthier and stronger than she had ever been.

As a result of the positive impact that Chiropractic made on her life, Laura became a Chiropractic Assistant in New Jersey and spoke at various seminars and health fairs about her amazing experience.

Laura has a true passion in her work as a Chiropractic Assistant.  She loves assisted patients at the front desk, as well as having daily one-on-one contact with patients, while performing therapies. She feels blessed to have a career that is based on helping others live a happy and healthy life.


Walter Bogdan, DC

Walter Bogdan, D.C.

Dr. Bogdan first experienced the benefits of Chiropractic in 1988 with a lower back injury. His injury responded extremely well to chiropractic care. He observed an additional benefit to his spinal adjustments- the elimination of his sinus infections, which had been chronic since childhood. With this new information, Dr. Bogdan decided to pursue a career in Chiropractic so that he could help others achieve results as positive as his. He attended Life Chiropractic University in Atlanta, Georgia, graduating in 1997. While at Life University he became involved in The Gonstead Clinical Studies Society. He also dealt further into the studies of spinal biomechanics, as well as extremity adjusting. It was at Life University where Dr. Bogdan met his wife, who is also a fellow Ariya Chiropractor, Dr. Lisa Holland. They share the philosophies of Chiropractic and natural health, as well as both being a part of the Ariya Team.
Dr. Bogdan is an avid cyclist and runner. He has run The Richmond Marathon twice and was part of a team that ran the 208 mile Blue Ridge Relay in 2007. The team ran from Grayson, Virginia to Asheville, North Carolina. Dr. Bogdan and his wife have two children, Palmer and Sage.

Dawn Lally, C.M.T.

Dawn joined Ariya in the spring of 2016.  She graduated from Medical Careers Institute of ECPI University in 2016 with an Associates degree in Applied Science.  She has always had an interest in the medical field, and believes while there is a definite place for hard science in health care, holistic care is the way to go.  When she found Therapeutic Massage she knew that it was the right field for her.  “Seeing the expression of relief, because I reduced the feeling of pain or stress, on my patients’ faces after a massage, makes me feel that I have accomplished a lot.  I know that my therapeutic touch has helped to heal & lift their spirits and to allow their bodies to continue to heal.” After over 20 years in South FL, Dawn moved to Richmond.  “I enjoy the 4 seasons and here in Richmond, they are not typically too extreme.”  In her spare time, Dawn likes to listen to music, dance, sew, and cook.

Paige Anthony, C.A.

Paige became a part of the Ariya team in 2015. As the front desk Chiropractic Assistant, Paige assists all patients in checking in and out on every visit, as well as scheduling subsequent treatments or new patient visits, as well as answering any questions that may arise. Her calm and caring demeanor puts patients at ease when they enter, and throughout their visit at Ariya.

She also assists the doctor, providing passive physical therapy treatments to patients, to help ease their discomfort and speed up their progress.

Paige greatly values the benefits and relief that patients experience when they discover Chiropractic care.

In her spare time she enjoys boating and gardening, and spending time with her family.


Dr. Minesh S. Patel

Minesh S. Patel, D.C.

Dr. Minesh S. Patel is a Co-Founder of Ariya Family Chiropractic Center. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2003 from Palmer College of Chiropractic, the founding College of the profession. He also possesses a Bachelors of Science Degree. His undergraduate work was done at Rutgers University. While at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Patel received two of the highest awards a Palmer College graduate can obtain – The Virgil V. Strang Philosophy Award for his excellence in the philosophy of Chiropractic, and Clinical Excellence Award which is nominated by supervising doctors.

Dr. Patel was also part of a humanitarian clinic abroad trip to Nepal where he and a group of students served underprivileged people by providing the best in Chiropractic and basic medical care.

“My mission is to give every individual that steps through my doors the best care that Chiropractic has to offer. I am always 100% honest and forthcoming about my patients’ health conditions and the steps that they need to take towards their health goals. I want my patients to not only get well, but to stay well.”

Dr. Patel & his wife, Dr. Saggar, are also the proud parents of two beautiful little girls, Laila and Kaya.

Dr. Nisha Saggar

Nisha Saggar-Patel, D.C., C.C.P.

Dr. Nisha Saggar is a Co-Founder of Ariya Family Chiropractic Center and wife of Dr. Patel. Prior to obtaining her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, she did her undergraduate studies at the University of Cincinnati. While at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Saggar excelled in her work with women’s health issues as well as Pediatrics, attending numerous seminars and continuing on to post-graduate work, receiving a Certificate in Chiropractic Pediatrics and Obstetrics.

Dr. Saggar was also part of a humanitarian mission abroad trip to Nepal where she and a group of students served underprivileged people by providing the best in Chiropractic and basic medical care.

Out in professional practice Dr. Saggar has earned the trust of many of her patients, who entrust her with the care of not only their spine but their childrens’ as well. Her youngest patient has been three days old. Dr. Saggar has taken care of numerous expecting mothers, from the first months of gestation to minutes before delivery.

“I am able to give a unique approach to patient care, offering a broad range of gentle techniques for those who prefer it. My patients become like family and I provide them the highest quality of care.”

Dr. Saggar and her husband, Dr. Patel, are also the proud parents of two beautiful little girls, Laila and Kaya.

Dr. Shannon Breeding

Shannon Breeding, D.C.

Dr. Breeding joined the Ariya team in 2012. He completed his undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. Dr. Breeding is from Christiansburg, VA. He was first introduced to Chiropractic in 2004 when he injured his lower back. After receiving Chiropractic care for his back pain, he was so impressed that he decided that it was time for a career change.

He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, the Fountainhead of Chiropractic in 2008. While at Palmer, Dr. Breeding received extensive training in spinal biomechanics and in the treatment of sports injuries involving the extremities (knees, ankles, shoulders, elbows and wrists) and worked as an intern with Dr. Mitch Mally. In 2008, he was selected to participate in the Palmer Clinic Abroad Program, providing Chiropractic and humanitarian care to the people of the Island nation of Fiji.

Casey Wille DC

Casey Wille, D.C.

Dr. Wille joined the Ariya team in 2014.  She completed her undergraduate studies at Randolph-Macon College with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry.  Dr. Wille is from Fredericksburg, VA where she was first introduced to chiropractic care during high school, in which she was treated for sports- related injuries.  She became so  intrigued with chiropractic care, and was amazed at the results of her care, that she decided  to pursue a career in Chiropractic.

She received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Marietta, Georgia, in 2012; she graduated Magna Cum Laude.  After graduation, she returned to the Richmond area to start her Chiropractic career.

“I want to help as many people as I can, to live a healthier lifestyle through Chiropractic care, no matter what issues they present with.”   Dr. Wille attends to patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors.  She also has experience in pregnancy care and Webster’s breech positioning technique.

In her free time, Dr. Wille likes spending time with friends and family, traveling, reading, and cooking.  Dr. Wille and her husband have a beautiful baby girl, named Bryce.

Stephanie Young

Stephanie Young, C.M.T.

Stephanie has been a part of the Ariya team since 2007. She originally interned at our office where she demonstrated an excellent knowledge base, clinical skills and technique, and was asked to stay on without hesitation.

Stephanie has always been interested in natural, non-surgical ways to benefit patients and has a true passion for holistic healing.

She grew up in Blackstone, VA, is married to her high school sweetheart, and has two beautiful children, Samuel and Kaela.

Gail Barnett

Gail Barnett, C.M.T.

Gail is a school counselor and has made it her life’s duty to help our children. She has also accomplished the feat of  becoming a certified massage therapist and provides the majority of her services on Saturday.

Gail also enjoys the outdoors, camping, hiking, fishing, and the arts. She is also an avid reader and traveler.


Tracey Whitehead, C.M.T.

Tracey graduated from Fortis College in 2016 and immediately joined the Ariya team. She has always been intrigued by anatomy and physiology and has years of experience in the medical field. Tracey believes that through massage therapy she not only contributes to her patients’ physical health, but their emotional, mental and spiritual health as well. Tracey resides in Prince George with her two children, Ciera and Wyatt.

Lorri Dotson, A.C.C.A.

Lorri has been an integral part of Ariya since 2004, near the very beginning. She is the Office Manager and Insurance Specialist and has worked in the Chiropractic field for over 30 years. To have longevity in any field requires a great love for what one does, and that would be the case for Lorri.

She has experienced firsthand the powerful health benefits that Chiropractic care can provide and continues to be excited to be in a profession that yields such a profound effect on patient’s well being and quality of life.

Lorri did her undergraduate studies at Wright State University in Ohio, obtained an Advanced Certificate for Chiropractic Assistants through Cleveland Chiropractic College in 2004 and has recently completed her degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Health Care Management. Originally from Ohio, Lorri and her husband have three wonderful children.

Katy Waquespack

Katy Waguespack, C.A.

Katy has been a part of the Ariya team since 2010. Her primary responsibility involves direct one-on-one patient care, providing passive physical therapy. Her nurturing, caring approach provides comfort to patients and puts them at ease as they begin and continue their care.

Since joining our team, Katy has personally received excellent health benefits from Chiropractic care and wishes that she had discovered Chiropractic much sooner in life. She had suffered from chronic migraine headaches since adolescence and since being under care, has found that her migraines have vanished!

Katy is married to her high school sweetheart and is a mother to three wonderful little boys, Andru , Maddux, and Phentin. She enjoys playing and watching sports, especially basketball and football.


Stephanie Shockley, C.A.

Stephanie joined Ariya Chiropractic in 2016 as a front desk Chiropractic Assistant. Her joyful personality and smile, ensures that each patient has a pleasant and positive experience at Ariya.  Stephanie comes to Ariya with two years of previous chiropractic assistant experience in Las Vegas as well as in Virginia. “I feel truly blessed to see how much patients’ lives  improve and how much healthier they become as a result of chiropractic care.”  In her free time, Stephanie enjoys being with friends and family, the outdoors, running and boating.


Kira Puffenbarger, C.A.

Kira is one of the smiling faces that will be greeting you at the front desk, when you enter the office. Originally from Northern Virginia, Kira came to Richmond to attend VCU and loved Richmond so much she stayed. She has a BA in English. She has always worked in customer service and prides herself on being helpful and caring for all people she encounters. Kira has always been interested in and practices natural living and holistic healing. When her first daughter had five ear infections back to back she searched for options other than surgery, which is how she found chiropractic, at Ariya.  Her daughter’s ear infections stopped as soon as she started chiropractic. With her daughter having such great results, Kira began receiving chiropractic care during her second pregnancy and experienced barely any pain and had a drastically shorter labor than her first pregnancy. Chiropractic has helped her and her family to be healthier. Kira is excited to help others discover chiropractic and reap the benefits of healthy living.

Kira married her high school sweetheart and together they have two amazing daughters. In her free time she loves to read, cook, bake, and play outside with her family.


Dr. Paul Tschetschot

Paul Tschetschot, D.C.

Dr. Tschetschot, also known as Dr. T, joined the Ariya team in 2012. He was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, the Fountainhead of Chiropractic, in 2004.

While attending college and prior to Chiropractic school, Dr. T was working at UPS, where he suffered a back injury that led him to going to see a chiropractor. As a result of his Chiropractic care, his back pain disappeared as well as the migraine headaches that he had suffered from for a number of years. At that point, he decided that he wanted to become a Chiropractor.

While attending Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. T interned at a practice in which he was given the opportunity to assist with Chiropractic care for the local professional hockey team, the Quad City Mallards. In 2003, he was selected to participate in the Palmer Clinic Abroad Program, providing Chiropractic and humanitarian care to the underprivileged people of Morocco, Africa.

“I am very passionate about my profession. When I discovered Chiropractic, I quickly went from an unhealthy lifestyle to a healthy lifestyle. I am dedicated to helping my patients achieve the same.”

Joy Price, C.M.T.

Joy graduated from Medical Careers Institute of ECPI University in 2012 with an Associates degree in Health Science. After a short time of working part-time in a spa, she realized that she wasn’t getting the full opportunity to really help people with their overall health.

She joined the Ariya team in 2013, and has loved the results that she has helped patients achieve in conjunction with their Chiropractic care.

“I have seen many different chiropractors for pain management and migraines. The team we have here at Ariya is unlike any other chiropractic office I’ve been in. We aren’t just like family with each other, but with our patients too, and I love being a part of that.”

Brianna Adams, C.M.T.

Brianna graduated from ECPI University in 2013 with her Associates in Applied Science, and joined the Ariya team in the summer of 2014. Brianna loves the natural approach of chiropractic and massage therapy and the complimentary effects that they have with one another.  “Healing people without medicine is the best part of massage, because if they come in here with pain and leave without, I feel that I have accomplished so much.”

Brandi Newcomb, C.A.

Brandi joined the Ariya team in 2012. She is the warm, inviting face that you will see when you enter the office. Brandi handles the front desk duties, which include scheduling and checking patients in and out. In addition, Brandi works directly with patient care, performing vitals for examinations and passive physical therapy modalities.

Brandi graduated from Radford University in 2008, with a Bachelors degree in History. When she began working at Ariya, she began receiving chiropractic care for the first time. She had suffered with lower back pain for several years and was so amazed at how much better she felt after she began receiving care. “I love seeing patients benefit from chiropractic care, knowing what a difference it truly makes.”

In her free time she enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family, friends, and her dog.



Lisa Holland, D.C.

Dr. Holland received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Life University in Marietta, Georgia, in 1995; she graduated Summa Cum Laude. During her time at Life, she earned several Chiropractic technique certifications.

After graduation, she was asked to stay at the University for an additional two years to teach Clinical and Chiropractic technique courses to students.
Her undergraduate studies were in Bachelors of Science in Biology, with a Pre-Dental focus.

Dr. Holland decided to pursue a career in Chiropractic because she had been a patient for several years and had first hand experience in the amazing benefits that it has to offer.
Dr. Holland returned to practice in Richmond, her home town, in 1997 and has been serving this community since then.

“My primary focus is helping my patients achieve a higher level of health. I will always spend the extra time and effort to explain their condition and treatment goals. I take care of my patients in the same manner that I would my family and friends.”

Dr. Holland and her husband, Dr. Walter Bogdan, also an Ariya Chiropractor, have two beautiful children, Palmer and Sage.

Lorie Houston, D.C.

Dr. Houston graduated from Sherman College of Chiropractic, located in South Carolina, in 2011. Prior to her Chiropractic career, Dr. Houston attended James Madison University where she received her Bachelors of Science in Health Studies, with a concentration in Physical Therapy.

Dr. Houston’s techniques include full-spine and extremity adjusting.  She takes special interest in treating children and expecting mothers, as well as athletes of all ages. “I treat every patient as if they were family and I am very persistent in giving the best quality of care possible.”

In her free time, Dr. Houston enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeromie, and her four kids, Elly Cate, Smith, Stone and Cooper.

Amanda Myers, C.M.T.

Amanda first became interested in massage therapy after she began working the front desk at a spa. It was there that she learned how beneficial massage was for the body and it peaked her interest in holistic healing.

She graduated from Fortis College in 2008 with a special interest in myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, and sports massage.

Amanda is currently working towards her group fitness certification and personal trainer certification to further help her patients improve their health through exercise and strength.

Brandi Dibella, CMT

Brandy DiBella, C.M.T.

Brandy joined the Ariya team in 2015.  She graduated from The American Institute of Healing Therapies in Virginia. She knew at a very young age that she wanted to become a massage therapist- drawing her inspiration from her aunt, who was a massage therapist.
Brandy is very happy to be working in the Chiropractic field. While in school she received massage with neuromuscular therapy in conjunction with Chiropractic care, and the results were incredible.

“I am so happy to know that I am now a part of the Ariya family, that has the same ideas of patient care at heart. Knowing at the end of the day that I helped my patients heal through therapeutic touch is an amazing feeling.”
Originally from Ohio, Brandy spent most of her life in Sandston, VA.    She spends my spare time with her husband and two extremely spoiled kitties, Skittles and Monkey and loves watching hockey.

Kara Taylor, C.M.T., C.A.

Kara joined Ariya in 2013, and has been a wonderful addition to our team.  She is the front desk chiropractic assistant, and with her dedication and warm approach, Kara will always make patients feel comfortable and at ease.

She has a passion for natural healing, and as a former massage therapist at Ariya, she has a true understanding of what a patient needs.

Kara graduated from the College of Baltimore County with an Associates degree. From there, she went on to the Baltimore School of Massage and graduated in 2011.




Shelby Stewart

Shelby Stewart, C.A.

Shelby joined the Ariya team in 2015 as a chiropractic assistant, and primarily performs passive physical therapy.  She loves being able to give patients hands-on care and feels that the most rewarding part of her position is watching patients get better, and seeing them return to the activities that they enjoy.

Shelby was born and raised in New Kent County and graduated in 2006 from New Kent High school.  In her free time, she enjoys photography, camping, mud bogging, riding horses and spending time with her husband, Rick, and daughter Sharae.



Richmond Chiropractor

Janine Hayes, D.C., C.M.T.

Dr. Hayes graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida,  in 2011.  During her time at Palmer she attended a humanitarian trip to Bequia where she adjusted local villagers from days old to the elderly.  Prior to her Chiropractic career, Dr. Hayes received her certification in Massage Therapy in 2008.  Dr. Hayes has a degree in both Biology and Environmental Studies from Eckerd College.

In her free time Dr. Hayes likes spending time outside with her dog Kya.  She is an animal lover and has been heavily involved with fostering puppies with a local rescue group.  She likes to travel, relax with a good book and draw and paint in her free time.  Dr. Hayes is driven by her passion for helping people, “ My goal is to help improve your quality of life through non-surgical, all natural means.  It’s not just about getting better it is about making your body your life’s priority.”

Mychaela Lunney, C.M T.

Mychaela joined the Ariya team in 2016. She graduated from Medical Careers Institute of ECPI University with an Associates in Applied Science. Mychaela loves the natural, holistic side of massage therapy and healing without the use of medication. “One of my favorite things is seeing a client’s progress over time, knowing I helped them get to a healthier, happier place. The relief I see every day is very rewarding.”

Originally from Maine, Mychaela continues to enjoy Virginia and likes exploring the area. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, making art, reading, being outdoors, listening to music, and going on adventures!

Lori Dunevant, C.A.

Lori is the front desk assistant who will greet you when you enter the office. She joined our team in 2016 and has been a wonderful addition to the Ariya team. She comes to us with three years of previous experience as a C.A. in Virginia Beach.  “I love being able to be a part of an environment where healing occurs naturally and with a noninvasive approach.” Lori’s commitments include front desk, performing vitals for examinations, and passive physical therapy modalities.

Before joining our team, Lori graduated from Tidewater in Virginia Beach with an AAS in Applied Science. Before caring for patients she was caring for the community with a career in law enforcement. In her spare time she enjoys being a member of the emergency response team, traveling, and fitness.


Josie Dell, C.A.

Josie joined the Ariya Chiropractic team in 2016. She was born and raised in Charlottesville, Va, until she moved to Richmond in 2016.

Josie was first introduced to chiropractic care around 2013 after seeking relief of back pain resulting from multiple sports related injuries. She had come to rely on multiple medications to during the period leading up to beginning chiropractic care, but no longer needed them after a short period of treatment.

Between March of 2016 and her move in June of the same year, Josie was hired as a Temporary Chiropractic Assistant in a Chiropractic office and immediately fell in love with her job. This prompted her to look for similar positions in Richmond, which led her to Ariya.

In her free time Josie enjoys horseback riding, reading, hiking and journaling.
